Reading rocks

Every Monday in Room 4 we have a library session to choose books to hopefully last us the whole week.  Most of are keen readers so we need books that will last a few days like Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney.  “This is one of my favourites” says Harry, “because it’s a bit funny and about a kid who is just a bit older than me. He wants to be famous and rich.  He dreams about being on a big billboard so everyone knows who he is and he doesn’t want to spend all his time telling about his childhood and if anyone asks he says read this as he’s a writing a book.”

Logan has just started the Alex Rider series by Anthony Horowitz and he’s on to the second. He says “they are cool books because they’re action packed and he has lots of gadgets like a book that has a gun concealed in it.  He also has a stun dart.  In the first book, there is a guy who makes computers and he puts viruses in them and they come alive.”
